Si’Tarc signs MoU with PSG Tech

COIMBATORE: The Small Industries Testing and Research Centre (Si’Tarc) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with PSG College of Technology here on Thursday for research activities.

V. Sundarrajulu, president of the centre, told presspersons that the one-year agreement would focus on the needs of the engineering units, especially the pump and motor manufacturing industries. Two projects were decided for immediate study based on the needs of the industry – thrust bearing in submersible pumps and spring tension applicable in automobile units.

The tie-up would help in supportive research as the institute had the knowledge base. Similarly, the data available at Si’Tarc from the tests conducted by it could be used by the college students for their projects.
