Indrajith, Rahul in good stand

Chennai: B. Indrajith and B. Rahul put on 121 runs for the seventh wicket to take City XI to 243 on the first day of the under-16 cricket match against Combined Districts for the R.K. Venkachalam Trophy, played at SRMC turf on Monday.

The scores: City XI 243 in 84 overs (B. Indrajith 70, B. Rahul 50, Abhishek Mehra 41, Ganga Sridhar Raju 38, P.S. Nirmal Kumar four for 64, B. Gautham three for 35) vs. Combined Districts seven for no loss in five overs.
