Gopinath prevails

Coimbatore: R. Gopinath, with a +2 score, emerged the against bogey winner (0-16 category) in the Anand Polytronics Trophy golf tournament at the Ooty Gymkhana Club Course, here on Sunday.

Ashwin Chandran wrested the second spot.

V. Chinnaswami, Committee member and sponsor of the tournament, gave away the prizes. R. Shyam Sunder, the newly elected Golf captain, presided.

The results: Anand Polytronics Trophy: Against bogey (0-16): 1. R. Gopinath, 2. Ashwin Chandran. Melur Cup (17-30): 1. K. Mantrachalam, 2. P. Kumaraswamy.
