Visakhapatnam Port Trust has bagged the National Safety Award. VPT received the award for successfully implementing safety norms, accident prevention techniques and maintaining safety standards. Chief Mechanical Engineer S.F. Mumford and Safety Officer A. Venkata Ramana received the award from Shipping Minister Muniyappaji and Secretary of Labour and Employment Sudha Pillai.
