ICF beats Sathyabama FC

PUDUCHERRY: ICF beat Sathyabama FC (Puducherry) 4-0 for a place in the next round of the qualification phase from the South Zone in the 30th Federation Cup football tournament here on Tuesday.

Titanium (Thiruvananthapuram) and BEML (Bangalore) are the two other teams in south zone.

ICF, with a set of new players, opened its account in the fifth minute through Dhadeus whose 25-yarder brooked no stopping. Sureshkumar made it 2-0 with a touch of opportunism, heading home a rebound in the 20th minute.

Suresh added one more 20 minutes later and by the stroke of half-time, Johny, after moving ahead with Jagar Sr, slotted in without fuss.
