College teachers’ meet in October

Bangalore: The 26th Academic Conference of All-India Federation of University and College Teachers Organisations will be held at Jnana Jyothi auditorium, Central College, Bangalore University, from October 17.

The three-day conference is being organised jointly by the Federation of University and College Teachers Associations in Karnataka (FUCTAK), Bangalore University College Teachers Association (BUCTA) and Karnataka Government College Teachers Association (KGCTA).

FUCTAK president A.M. Narahari told presspersons here on Wednesday that the theme of the conference would be “inclusive education”.

The sub-themes include the role of the State in developing higher education, learner-centric education system, equity and access in higher education, societal contributions to higher education, strengthening of basic and social sciences at the graduate and research levels, and internationalisation of higher education. The last date to submit papers along with an abstract is September 30. Papers should be sent to Ravindra Reshme, BUCTA, 2, Prasanna Kumar Block, Palace Road, Gandhinagar, Bangalore 560009.
