Panel suggests downsizing at TTP

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An expert committee appointed by the government to study the problems being faced by the Travancore Titanium Products (TTP) is understood to have recommended a 15 to 20 per cent downsizing of staff by outsourcing unskilled jobs.

The five-member committee, which submitted its proposals to Industries Minister Elamaram Karim on Wednesday, is understood to have proposed seeking more time from the High Court to implement the pollution control project and permission for running the plant as such.
