Councillors who usually get together for the monthly Council meeting had fun competing with each other at athletics. Even some of the normally calm women councillors tucked their sari ‘pallus’ at the waist and ran races with enthusiasm. March past, running races, shot put, throw ball, handball, cricket, slow cycling, lemon and spoon race, musical chairs and basketball matches were held.
