KRISHNAGIRI: New recruits are being treated well and their self-esteemed is high after joining the police force, Additional Director General Police (Law & Order) T. Rajendran has said. Mr. Rajendran inaugurated the new building constructed for District Armed Reserve Police force at a cost of Rs. 1 crore at the footsteps of Samandhamalai in Krishnagiri on Friday. In her inaugural speech, Mr. Rajendran said: “The law and order situation is under control, but the police force is being strengthened in important places wherever public movement is high. As a precautionary measure regular patrolling and vehicle check-ups are strengthened at important junctions all over the state. Ten years back Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts were infested with naxalites, their movement in the dense forest areas in both the districts are regularly being monitored by a special police team headed by an Inspector under the direct supervision of the SPs, Najmul Hodha and Hanisha Husain. The STF force will press into service when we get specific information about the naxalite movements in the border areas of the Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Because of stringent action taken by the Andhra Pradesh Government the naxalites may intrude into the Tamil Nadu forest areas, this is being checked round the clock. Said Mr. Najmul Hodha: “In the Adhyamankottai incident, the station writer, Thangavelu, has been remanded after the narco analysis test. In Pennnagaram incident, two persons will be taken to Bangalore for polygraph test. The new 14,207 sq ft-building, was constructed at a cost of Rs. 1 in 25 acres.
