District-level chess tournament

KOCHI: The Minerva Chess Centre will conduct a district-level unrated prize-money chess tournament at the Minerva Tuition Centre, Kalamassery, on October 1 and 2. The tournament is open only to registered players of Chess Association Ernakulam.

Apart from the cash prizes, there will special awards for the toppers in the under-15 and under-10 age groups. Players are to bring their own chess clocks.

Interested players should report at the venue at 9.30 a.m. on October 1 and the first round begins at 10 a.m. For further details, contact 94473-96758.
