SNDP to set up 10 engineering colleges

KOCHI: SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said the organisation is planning to set up ten new engineering colleges in the self-financing sector.

This is against the background of minority communities gaining an upper hand in the self-financing sector and the backward communities such as the Ezhavas being sidestepped, Mr. Vellappally told a one-day workshop for SNDP functionaries here on Friday.

The new colleges would be located at Kannur, Thrissur, Kodungallur, Chalakkudy, Perumbavur, Kottayam, Vaikom, Mavelikkara, Kottarakkara, Thiruvananthapuram and Muhamma.
