HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday ‘caught’ Belagani Srinivas Rao, Sub-Inspector, III Town Police Station in Khammam district, accepting Rs. 8,000 as bribe through Rajolu Srisailam, constable of Dummugudem police station, attached to the Town station, for doing an official favour. A press release issued by ACB here on Friday said Rao had demanded bribe for releasing the husband of the complainant from the III Town police station, without registering a criminal case. The amount was recovered at the instance of Srisailam. The release said they would be arrested and produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACS Cases, Hyderabad.
