Odafe brace sinks Mahindra

Margao: Odafe Okalie’s double strike in the second half guided Churchill Brothers to a 2-1 win over Durand Cup champion Mahindra United in the ONGC I-League football championship here on Saturday.

Churchill, which avenged its Durand Cup defeat, dominated the entire game and took the lead in the 61st minute through Okolie. Mahindra United found the equaliser in the 85th minutes through substitute Sushil Kumar Shinde. Odafe then scored the winner in the 90th minute.

Earlier on Friday, Nigerian Obagbemiro Junior guided Sporting Clube De Goa to a solitary-goal win over Vasco Sports Club. — PTI
