Personified triumphs

Pune: Mr. M.A.M.Ramaswamy’s Personified ridden by Srinath won the Idar Gold Cup, (2,400m) in a record time of 2m 28.7s, the main event of the races held here on Saturday (Sept.27). Karthik G trains the winner.

The authorities of the RWITC observed a minutes silence after the fifth race in memory of veteran racing journalist J.V.Shukla who passed away in Mumbai on Sept. 25, due to cancer. He was 82 and was associated with the Indian Express for many years.
