Talent and skill on display at Blitzkrieg

A day-long event in Vijayawada for youth studying in various colleges

VIJAYAWADA: The talents of students in various disciplines were in full display at Blitzkrieg, a day-long youth event organised by the Computer Science Association of the PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science here on Friday.

Students of BCA, MCA and other streams from various colleges competed with one another in the events that were aimed at testing their skills in paper presentation, communication, spontaneity and so on.

An IT quiz and a competition in designs were also organised on the occasion.

Addressing the inaugural function as chief guest, MLC K.S. Lakshmana Rao gave a clarion call to the younger generation not to lose sight of their responsibilities in upholding ethical values in life.

He asked the students to prepare for future right from day one of their joining the college.

Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education secretary P.L.N. Prasad said that the students should actively participate in the programmes being organised from time to time by the colleges.

He said that their institutions would remain in the forefront of organising such events in the best interests of the students.

Principal N. Satyanarayana said the event was aimed at providing an opportunity to students to test their skills and share their talents with others in a free and open atmosphere provided to them.

There was an increased awareness among students as far as participation in such personality events was concerned.

Head of the department of computer science A. Vithal Rao, staff of the college and others were present on the occasion.

The events organised during the day were focused on bringing out the talent of students in paper presentation, communication concepts, e-commerce, internet blogging, public speaking and so on.
