KOCHI: Tamil Nadu’s G.N. Surya and Delhi’s B. Murali pulled off stunning upsets on their way to the men’s singles final of the 33rd National senior tennikoit championship on Saturday.

The results: Semifinals: Men’s singles: B. Murali (Del) bt M. Laxmana Rao 16-21, 21-16, 21-19; G.N. Surya (TN) bt N. Rakesh (AP) 21-16, 21-17. Women’s singles: Sameera Begum (AP) bt Rathi Priya (TN) 21-10, 21-18; Rema Devi (AP) bt Aarthi (Mah) 21-16, 21-12.
