Three bodies found in Kandhamal

BHUBNAESWAR: Three bodies were recovered from a river in the riot-torn Kandhamal district of Orissa on Sunday even as at least 40 houses belonging to Christians were burnt in the interior areas since Saturday night.

The bodies of 3 Christians seen floating near the Bisipada ghat of the Badasalunki river were that of a couple, and a man who worked as a gatekeeper at the Regional Marketing Committee at Sankarakhol.

The victims Meghnad Digal, his wife Priyatama Digal and Francis Digal had been missing ever since they were allegedly taken away by a mob on Thursday evening.
