Delivering the inaugural address at a lecture organised by Science City on ‘Recent trends in information technology’ here on Friday, Mr. Sridhar said: “The web based science quiz for school students will resume in October. This will help in popularisation of science among students.” The science quiz carries a certificate and cash award of Rs.8,000.

“There is lack of awareness about entrepreneurship among college students. Even bright students are not aware. The entrepreneurship development cell has to be vibrant in all colleges for better innovation in information technology,” said A. Senguttuvan, dean, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vel Tech.

“The students should keep track of the innovations in the IT sector,” said Balaji Sethuraman, Principal Architect, Cognizant Technology Solutions.
