Kakinada: Participants in the CORPEVE-08, a technical fiesta organised by Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET) as a prelude to its annual event CONCOURS 2009, were exhorted by KSVG Murali Krishna of the Institute of Electronic Governance, to dedicate themselves to achieving goals. He suggested to the students to be attentive in the classes to grasp things at the first instance itself instead of relying on friends and peers. “Chances always prefer the prepared mind,” he asserted. KIET Director John Uday Kumar called upon the students to mould themselves into leaders with responsibilities while focusing on the respective subjects of specialization. KIET Principal AVSN Murthy said the students should be energetic in pursuing their goals. Twenty four teams took part in the poster making competition and 77 teams got registered for the ‘1300 Degrees C’ quiz whose winners will be presented mobile phones, DVDs etc. Colleges that are taking part in the event are JNTU, Godavari Institute of Engineering College, Aditya Engineering College, Chaitanya Institute of Science and Technology, Pragati Engineering College etc. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
