SBI pensioners plan dharna

CHENNAI: The State Bank of India Pensioners’ Association (Chennai Circle) will hold dharna and fast before the SBI Local Head Office, Nungambakkam, and administrative units at Madurai, Coimbatore and Tiruchi, from September 29 to October 6, demanding solution for their long-pending demands.

In a release, association general secretary P.P.S. Murthy said they were seeking refitment of pension of those who had retired between November 1, 1997 and October 31, 2002; 50 per cent of the last drawn pay as pension; improvement in family pension, dearness relief with cent per cent neutralisation uniformly for all pensioners and updation of pension. — Special Correspondent
