Two Srisailam gates develop leakage

HYDERABAD: Two out of the 12 radial crest gates of the Srisailam dam have developed leakage due to loss of rubber seals used as packing material to fill small gaps within the concrete structure spans at the gates. As a result water began to gush out from the gaps at the ninth and tenth gates. As the inflow is still coming even after the reservoir is full, water is gushing out with force. – Special Correspondent
