Officials busy visiting Ministers on transfers: Janata Dal (S)

DAVANGERE: The Davangere unit of the Janata Dal (Secular) has said that the administration in the State has come to a standstill because almost all officers, fearing abrupt transfers, were busy visiting Ministers concerned.

Addressing presspersons here on Sunday, H.S. Shivashankar, president of the district unit of the Janata Dal (Secular), and working president and former MLC N.G. Puttaswamy said that no government in the past had transferred so many officers.

As the Government had affected mass transfers several times, officials were busy visiting Ministers to ensure that they are not transferred. Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa had failed miserably to ensure effective administration and live up to the expectations of the people.

The Government’s failure in providing sufficient fertilizers to farmers, death of farmers in police firing and unrest in the State following attacks on churches were some of the “achievements” of the BJP government. People will give their verdict on the Government during the coming elections, they said.
