Get the wells recharged, farmers told

Kakinada: The Agriculture Department has called upon the farmers to get their wells recharged under the subsidy scheme being implemented by the State Government, Joint Director of Agriculture T Nandaiah stated in a press release.

The recharging of wells will also help in mitigating the drinking water shortage. The Agriculture Department and District Water Management Agency have identified wells which have completely dried up and needed artificial recharging, in Bikkavolu, Korukonda, Peddapuram, Pratthipadu, Rajanagaram, Rangampeta, Samalkot and Thondangi mandals. Farmers wishing to recharge their wells have contact the agricultural officer or agricultural extension officer.
