Mary Giri scores thrilling win

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mary Giri English Medium HSS scored an exciting one-wicket win over Govt. Model HSS in the TDCA under-16 inter-school cricket tournament at the Medical College ground here on Monday.

In the day’s second match, VPS HSS defeated Saraswathi Vidyalaya by five wickets.

The scores: Govt. Model HSS 160 for eight in 25 overs (Prathees P. Lal 45 n.o.) lost to Mary Giri EMHSS 163 for nine in 23 overs (R. Rakesh 33, Y.Feroz four for 25); Saraswathi Vidyalaya 118 in 23.5 overs (Sajan five for five) lost to VPS HSS 119 for five in 14.3 overs (Sajan 31, S.S. Vishnu 30, Srikanth three for 38).
