Kancheepuram, Krishnagiri claim titles

TUTICORIN: Kancheepuram defeated Tiruchi 3-15, 15-12, 15-13 in the men’s final and Krishnagiri beat Tiruchi 15-8, 15-11 in the women’s section in the senior State throwball championship held here recently.

H. Lavanya of Chennai and Santhosh Kumar of Karur were selected the ‘Best player of the Championship’ in the men’s and women’s sections respectively

The Mayor Ms. Kasthuri Thangam inaugurated the event and C. Sylendra Babu, Inspector General of Police, Special Task Force and President, Tamil Nadu Throwball Association, gave away the prizes on the final day.
