KOCHI: Medium-pacers Vinukumar and Balagopal sparkled as host Ernakulam defeated Palakkad by 42 runs in the Central Zone under-19 inter-district cricket championship here on Monday.
In another league game, Thrissur gained a huge first innings lead over Idukki.
The two-dayer ended in a draw.
