A Sunday Jam for theatre too

Bangalore: Sunday Jam is a unique informal musicians’ meet that is part of an ongoing endeavour by Guruskool to support artistes. Guruskool is known for the Freedom Jam events that Bangalore’s music lovers eagerly look forward to every year.

Maraa, a theatre initiative, is collaborating with Guruskool to build a larger artistes’ community. Currently the bands meet at Guruskool campus in Nelamangala on the first Sunday of each month to share, perform and jam.

Inspired by this, Maraa is preparing to infuse this space with theatre and bring in a culture of theatre jams. Theatre artistes will meet here and present short solos they have worked on. This performance can exist in any stage and can be presented in any format. The first such performance will be on October 5.
