Award for 11 teachers

KRISHNAGIRI: Eleven teachers of private and government schools in and around Hosur were presented the Best Teacher Award by the Lions Club of Hosur – SIPCOT recently.

They were: Sister Angela, St. John Bosco, Hosur; Sarojamani, principal, CBSE Maharishi Vidhya Mandir, Hosur; Jamuna, principal, State Board Maharishi Vidhya Mandir, Hosur; Vasanthi Thygarajan, principal, Sishya School; Sajitha Bharathi, principal, Titan School; Shanthi Vittal, St. Joesph School; N. Geetha, Government School, Kovakuttai; Jaya Sree, Government School Moranapalli, Hosur; Meenakshi Puvidham, Rural Development Trust, Dharmapuri; M. Meeru, Director, Madagondapali Model School; and S. Ramesh, Satya Sai Institute, Hosur.

The club donated Rs. 25,000 to the Puvidham Rural Development Tust, Dharmapuri.

Dr. N. Bharati, Grow More Bio-Tech, Hosur, presented special award to N. Geetha, teacher from a Government school located at a tribal area in Kova Kuttai in Denkanikkottai taluk. She travels 96 km a day to take classes for the last three years. There is no bus facility for 4 km.

Club president N. Dhanasekaran presided. V. Gnanasekaran proposed a vote of thanks.
