SAIL inks MoU with L&T for power projects

NEW DELHI: State-owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) on Tuesday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to jointly own and implement captive and independent power plants at various locations to meet the future power needs of the steel major. The scope of the agreement also includes exploration of opportunities to own captive thermal coal blocks to cater to the requirements of power plant. — Special Correspondent
