New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday said that the government provided ‘satisfying’ security arrangements for the Australian tour hence there was no change in any venue or schedule of the four-Test series. This means that the third Test, to begin in New Delhi from October 29, will not be shifted to some other venue. A three-member BCCI delegation met the Home Ministry officials to discuss the security arrangements. “We met the the officials to discuss the security during the series. We put forth our views. The series is on and there is no change in the venue or the schedule. “We are satisfied by the security arrangement provided by the government. They have committed full co-operation to us,” Rajiv Shukla, Chairman of the BCCI Finance Committee, told reporters after the 20-minute meeting. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
