NEW DELHI: Schneider Electric, world’s specialist in energy management, has been awarded IBM’s prestigious contract for designing, providing electrical distribution, building management security system, high density cooling and critical power solutions for the Green Enterprise Data Centre being built for Bharti Airtel. The contract entails Schneider Electric to complete and hand over the centre to IBM by March 2009. Talking about the project, Olivier Blum, Managing Director, Schneider Electric India, said data centres had been recognised as one of the major energy consumers in the world.
