Broad appointed match referee

Dubai: The International Cricket Council on Wednesday appointed Chris Broad as match referee to oversee the proceedings of the four-match Test series between India and Australia.

The ICC also appointed four umpires — Rudi Koertzen, Asad Rauf, Billy Bowden and Aleem Dar — for the series, beginning with the first match in Bangalore on October 9. — PTI
