St. Ephrem’s HSS in last four

MANNANAM: Host St. Ephrem’s HSS (Mannanam) along with St. Thomas HSS (Kozhencherry) and SCS HSS (Tiruvalla) entered the semifinals in the boys’ section of the Ephrem’s Trophy all-Kerala inter-school basketball tournament at the St. Ephreme’s basketball here on Wednesday

In the girls’ section, SAI teams from Thallasserry and Thrissur along with Mount Carmel HSS (Kottayam) made the semifinals.

In the sub-junior section, St. Ephrem’s defeated Don Bosco, Puthupally 49-30 to reach the final.

The results: Boys (quarterfinals): St. Ephrem’s HSS, Mannanam 54 (Aby Sony 15, Roby Thomas 14) bt SH HSS, Thevara 22 (Nithin 10); St. Thomas HSS, Kozhencherry 62 (Arjun 28, Jomon Jose 14, Arun Alexander 12) bt St. Joseph HSS, Pulicunnu 58 (Jose 24, Jijo 21); SCS HSS, Tiruvalla 60 (Anil 26, Kevin Lalu 21) bt GV Raja Sports School, Trivandrum 59 (Shinilraj 14, Nicwin 15).

Girls (quarterfinals): GVHSS, Viladom 36 (Griya Susan18, Merlin Baby 10) bt MTHSS, Kottayam 19 (Arya C Varghese 11).

Sub-juniors: Boys (semifinals): St. Ephrem’s, Mannanam 49 (Robin 12) bt Don Bosco, Puthupally 30 (Felin 14, Sidarth 10).

Quarterfinals: Lourde Public School, Kottayam 16 bt St. Joseph, Mannanam 14.
