Rana shines for Delhi

NEW DELHI: Nitish Rana hit a fine century as Delhi recorded a convincing 120-run victory over Punjab in the under-16 inter-state one-day tournament for the Polly Umrigar Trophy at the Bharat Nagar ground here on Wednesday.

Rana struck 12 boundaries in his knock of 114.

In another match, Haryana defeated Jammu and Kashmir by eight wickets.

The scores: Delhi 269 in 50 overs (Nitish Rana 114, Gaurav 50) bt Punjab 149 for six in 50 overs (Nitish 55); Jammu and Kashmir 127 in 39 overs (Akashdeep four for 25) lost to Haryana 128 for two in 33 overs (Deepak Malik 57).
