Jayalalithaa demands honest valuation of exam papers

CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa on Wednesday urged Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to explain why the results of the examination to recruit 546 assistants for all 18 central co-operative banks in Tamil Nadu were not published.

In a statement here, Ms. Jayalalithaa demanded transparent and honest valuation of examination papers in all districts, barring Madurai, Villupuram and Erode.

The Madras High Court granted a stay on publishing results for these three districts on a petition filed by candidates, who had registered in the employment office, but were not allowed to write the examination.

“Though there is no stay on publishing the results in other districts, the answer sheets are kept in the central co-operative banks,” she said.
