‘Mounakala’ released

SIRSI: Mounakala, a Kannada anthology, was released by litterateur Vishnu Naik at T.S.S. Hall in Sirsi on Wednesday. Mr. Vishnu Naik said the literary talents from this district will shine at the State-level in future. “Poetry is an experience, not a nest of words. Creati-vity lies in showing an entirely different aspect of life. Poets are like saints. Even in the poems of revolt there are saintly feelings. Poems hide an idea and make one think,” he said. Writer Bhageerathi Hegde presided. Writer Subray Mattihalli introduced the book.Poet Roopashri welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest. — Correspondent
