DAVANGERE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa will visit Honnali on Friday. The Chief Minister will inaugurate the “Janaspandana” programme at 3 p.m. and leave for Shikaripura later. CompensationAddressing presspersons here on Thursday, Renukacharya, Honnali MLA, said that the Chief Minister would distribute compensation cheques to 413 farmers for crop loss. He would also distribute “sanction letters” to 5,000 beneficiaries of various schemes. Mr. Renukacharya said that 3,002 people had been selected under the Sandya Suraksha Yojana, 371 under Indira Awaz Yojana, 293 under Madilu scheme, and 239 under the Bhagyalakshmi scheme. SelectedHe said that 209 women had been selected for widow pension, 129 for physically handicapped allowance, 99 for aged pension and 140 farmers for special compensation. S.A.
