KADIRI (ANANTAPUR DT.): Regionalism is gaining ground in the State due to increasing disparities in terms of development, leaders of BJP taking part in the ‘Sankalpa Yatra’ said here on Wednesday. The party was also making an effort to study people’s pulse on the issue, they said. Talking to newspersons, party leaders -- Chilakam Ramachandra Reddy, Naresh, Kishan Reddy, and M.S. Parthasarathi -- and others said that development of Rayalaseema was possible only if a separate State was formed with four Rayalaseema districts and two South Coastal districts. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
