St. Ephrem’s in final

MANNANAM: Host St. Ephrem’s marched into boys’ final of the sixth Ephrem’s Trophy all-Kerala inter-School basketball tournament at the St. Ephrem’s Basketball Stadium on Thursday.

In the boys’ semifinals, St. Ephrem’s drubbed SC Seminary HSS (Tiruvalla) 37-7.

Mount Carmel will meet GVHSS (Villadom) in the girls’ final. In the semifinals, Mount Carmel defeated SAI (Thalassery) 64-51, while GVHSS (Villadom) overcame Sports Division (Kannur) 53-49.

The results: Boys: Semfinals: St. Ephrem’s HSS (Mannanam) 37 (Kashi Viswanath 12) bt SC Seminary HSS (Tiruvalla) 7. Quarterfinals: St. Joseph HSS (Thiruvananthapuram) 85 (V.R. Ajith 29, Vineeth 21, Joice 14) bt St. Thomas HSS (Pala) 64 (Dileep 25, Deepak 13).

Girls: Semifinals: Mount Carmel HSS (Kottayam) 64 (Sona M. Saji 23, Tritty Joseph 14) bt SAI (Thallasserry) 51 (Neenumol 30, Sonia Joseph 14); GVHSS (Villadom) 53 (Griya Susan 17, Merlin Baby11) bt Sports Division (Kannur) 49 (Anusha Anto 17, Athira 13).
