Srikkanth applauds Rohit and Kohli

HYDERABAD: Krishnamachari Srikkanth, the Chairman of the National Selection Committee, said he is delighted to see the wonderful performances of two youngsters, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who scored centuries for Board President’s XI against the Australians at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, here on Thursday.

“They played exceptionally well. These efforts also show the amount of back-up talent we have,” Srikkanth said during a brief interaction with the media after the first day’s play here. However, he refused to entertain any questions related to the selection of the Indian team. — Principal Correspondent
