Manipal: Inspector-General of Police (Western Range) A.M. Prasad on Thursday said that one of suspected terrorists had collected materials for making improvised explosive devices, used in the Jaipur and Delhi bomb blasts recently, from Udupi. Speaking at the inaugural function of the Model United Nations summit organised by the Manipal University, Mr. Prasad said that most of the youth involved in these blasts came from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. “All these boys come from either middle class or lower middle class background,” he said. He said that all the youth were well educated. Some were pursuing their MBA, some doing their postgraduate courses and some others were doing graduation in technical courses. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
