NAGAPPATTINAM: Adi Dravidars aged between 18 and 65 years can register with the newly formed Adi Dravidar Welfare Board, a press release issued by Collector M. Jayaraman said on Friday. According to a Government order issued on September 8, a Welfare Board has been formed to promote the social, economic and educational welfare of Adi Dravidars. Those working in government, NGOs or at other places are eligible to apply either to the respective Village Administrative Officer (VAO) or respective taluk or district authorities directly or by post, the release said. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
