Team visits Kanyakumari district

Nagercoil: An international team under the leadership of the vice-president of the OISCA, an international non-governmental organisation, Toshi Hiro Nagano, visited Kanyakumari district.

According to sources, the team appreciated the efforts in creating a forest on 45 acres by planting 50,000 saplings.

The forest was developed by the Nagercoil chapter for the last eight years. A good water storing system was also developed to sustain the further development. The area witnessed the growth of around 50,000 trees of various species. The members of the Nagercoil chapter including the director general of OISCA, Aravind Babu, and others accompanied the team.
