NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered six cases against ration shop owners, four food and supply officials, two inspectors of the Food and Civil Supplies Department of the Delhi Government and some others for allegedly entering into a conspiracy to issue forged ration cards. The CBI on Friday conducted searches at 21 places including ration shops, offices and houses of the accused. According to the CBI, certain officers of the Food and Civil Supplies Department had issued thousands of bogus ration cards in conspiracy with “fair price” shop owners. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
