Man killed in accident

A pedestrian died when a travel agency van hit him on the highway at Kancharapalem on Saturday.

K. Venkataswamy, 26, a milkman and a resident of Jyotinagar in Marripalem area was going to Birla junction when the driver of the van lost control and hit Venkateswamy, according to eyewitness account. He died when he was being rushed to a hospital. Kancharapalem SI V. Babji Rao is investigating.
