Appointed DUDA chairman

DAVANGERE: Yashwantha Rao has been appointed Chairman of the Davangere Urban Development Authority. Mr. Rao was earlier president of the Davangere City Municipality, which is now the Davangere City Corporation. He had contested the Assembly elections three times but was defeated.

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, during his visit to Honnali on Friday, was said to have cleared Mr. Rao’s appointment. Sources in the BJP said four members were also appointed.
