Delhi Mayor flays Health Minister

NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra on Sunday criticised the Delhi Health Minister Yoganand Shastri for indulging in petty politics at the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

According to Ms. Mehra, the Minister got “undesirable changes” done in and around the statue installed at Malviya Nagar. “No permission was obtained from the civic body whereas the park comes under the MCD. He organised a function today without the civic body’s permission. Had the MCD been taken into confidence, it would have done a decent job and organised a better function befitting the stature of the great martyr.”
