NEW DELHI: The Central Park in Connaught Place has been thrown open to the public again more than a fortnight after the serial bomb blasts in the Capital. “The park was opened on Friday after the security was beefed up. We were in talks with the police regarding opening of the park as it had raised certain concerns about security,” said NDMC spokesman Anand Tiwari. One of the five bombs that rocked the Capital on September 13 had exploded inside the park. The bomb had been kept in a dustbin. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
