Taxi driver attacked

Visakhapatnam: A taxi driver was injured when some persons attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon on Sunday evening near the Municipal Corporation. There was a dispute over the money to be paid to a woman after which the driver Krishna hit her, according to Circle Inspector M. Narasmiha Rao. Subsequently, Krishna was attacked resulting in injuries on his hands and temple. The two-town police registered a case.

Building collapse

Three persons were injured when parts of a building under construction collapsed at New Resapuvanipalem on Sunday evening. The three-town police said sidewalls and sunshades of a five-storied building being constructed had fallen injuring V.Appa Rao and two others in the neighbouring house. A case was registered.
