Woman found dead

A 65-year-old woman, Gandhimathi, was found dead in a suspicious manner at her house in Thenparankundram, PPR Nagar 2nd Street. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the rear door was found open in the early morning. Some jewels, which were worn by the victim, who had been staying alone, were missing. There were no visible injuries on the victim. The jewels and some other valuables were not stolen from the almirah. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Tirupparankundram police have registered a case of suspicious death.
